Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings for optimal patient support during critical care
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
• Provide trach care and assist with intubation when needed, partnering with the ICU team
• Deliver high flow oxygen therapy and bronchodilator treatments to improve breathing
• Execute airway clearance techniques and patient transport safely and confidently
• Respond to code blue events as a skilled member of the resuscitation team
• Complete thorough patient assessments and document care clearly in Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-acuity patients receive excellent care

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT required (advanced respiratory credentials expected)
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (as listed)
• ICU experience preferred (one year ICU experience noted as preferred)
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend scheduling
• Familiarity with common respiratory procedures: ventilator management, ABGs, trach care, airway clearance, high flow O2, and intubation assist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong experience with Drager ventilators and Philips V60 systems
• Hands-on use of Vapotherm and Metaneb technologies
• Proficient in Meditech documentation and electronic charting
• Skilled in ventilator management, bronchodilator therapy, and airway clearance
• Excellent patient assessment, acute care decision-making, and teamwork during codes
