Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Primarily 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM day shifts (12-hour) with rotating schedule; includes On-Call STEMI team coverage and weekend rotations. Full weekend rotation example: Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM (covers a full weekend). 12-hour rotating shifts, day and night coverage as needed, approximately 6-8 shifts per month for on-call/STEMI rotation.

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert circulating RN care during cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures
- Perform prep and recovery nursing for cath lab patients, ensuring safe handoffs and recovery plans
- Respond rapidly and competently as part of the On-Call STEMI team for emergency activations
- Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, techs, and anesthesia to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and assist with patient education and discharge planning
- Adhere to BLS/ACLS standards and support a culture of safety and infection control
- Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and complete required skills checklists
Qualifications
- Current NYS RN license (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Procedural cardiac cath lab experience and proven ability to serve as a circulating RN
- Experience with PCI and vascular studies preferred
- Demonstrated emergency/STEMI team on-call experience
- Ability to cover weekend rotations and respond to on-call activations
- Completion of required occupational health items: fit test, drug screen, immunizations, and physical/health statement
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and PCI workflow
- Skilled in circulating RN duties and sterile field management
- Proficient in prep/recovery assessment and post-procedure monitoring
- Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and recognizing acute changes
- Quick decision-making during STEMI activations and emergency situations
- Effective communication and teamwork within interventional cardiology teams
- Experience with competency testing processes and skills documentation
