Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage and stabilize patients arriving to the emergency department with speed and compassion
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and manage basic pharmacology safely
- Interpret cardiac rhythms quickly and accurately to support timely interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Document thorough patient assessments, interventions and handoffs in the medical record
- Participate in emergency resuscitations and critical care procedures as needed
- Complete required competency checklists, specialty exams and ongoing skills validation
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana licensure required or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- NIHSS certification and proficiency in stroke assessment
- DCI/BVP credentialing as listed in the order
- Successful license/certificate verification and completion of required facility onboarding
- Up-to-date health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, fit test, etc.)
Education
- Active RN license required
- Formal nursing education (ADN/BSN) as applicable for RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing best practices and triage processes
- Rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring
- Basic pharmacology for ED medication administration
- Familiarity with NIHSS stroke scale and acute stroke pathways
- Competency with ED workflows, documentation and rapid patient assessment
- Ability to perform under pressure and communicate clearly in emergencies
