Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients through thorough patient assessment and timely interventions
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry to detect changes early
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Administer medications and advanced life support measures safely and according to protocol
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during stressful times
• Float to assigned units (ED, Telemetry, Med-Surg) within your scope to meet patient needs
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN license (Nursys verification may be used)
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS upon hire and maintained
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire and maintained
• NIHSS certificate required
• PALS within 30 days of hire if assigned to units that admit pediatric patients
• DCI/BVP and rhythm interpretation skills
• Willingness to float to other units as needed

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care principles
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical environments for float coverage
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfort with competency testing and specialty exams
