Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images with attention to patient safety
- Position and prepare patients for CT scans while explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Follow imaging protocols and perform necessary image post-processing and quality checks
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure accurate, timely imaging results
- Maintain accurate patient records, exam logs, and facility documentation
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection prevention practices at all times
- Participate in competency testing and checklist processes to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Core experience as a CT technologist (CT listed as required skill)
- BLS certification required
- DCI/BVP certification required
- License/certificate verification required prior to start
- Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as listed
- Ability to pass required health screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB testing, Varicella, Tdap, and a physical/health statement
- Must pass Prime color-blind test, fit test, and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and image acquisition
- Radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
- Patient positioning and compassionate patient care skills
- Familiarity with PACS and image post-processing tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork with radiologists and clinical staff
- Attention to detail for documentation, quality assurance, and competency testing
