Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images with attention to patient safety
• Position and prepare patients for CT scans while explaining procedures and addressing concerns
• Follow imaging protocols and perform necessary image post-processing and quality checks
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure accurate, timely imaging results
• Maintain accurate patient records, exam logs, and facility documentation
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection prevention practices at all times
• Participate in competency testing and checklist processes to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Core experience as a CT technologist (CT listed as required skill)
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• License/certificate verification required prior to start
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as listed
• Ability to pass required health screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB testing, Varicella, Tdap, and a physical/health statement
• Must pass Prime color-blind test, fit test, and a minimum 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and image acquisition
• Radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
• Patient positioning and compassionate patient care skills
• Familiarity with PACS and image post-processing tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork with radiologists and clinical staff
• Attention to detail for documentation, quality assurance, and competency testing
