Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging and advanced radiographic exams with precision and patient-centered care
- Operate mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment safely and effectively
- Administer IV contrast and perform venipuncture for contrast-enhanced studies
- Follow State and Federal regulations and maintain accurate documentation for every exam
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure timely, high-quality imaging that supports diagnosis
- Maintain infection control, radiation safety, and equipment readiness at all times
- Complete Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam as required
Qualifications
- ARRT (Radiography) and ARRT (CT) required
- Fluoroscopy permit / licensure as required by the State of Texas
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT
- Venipuncture certificate and proficiency in starting IVs for contrast injections
- Familiarity with State and Federal regulations for radiology
- Proficient computer skills for documentation and imaging workflows
- At least one year of acute clinical radiology experience preferred
Education
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
Knowledge & Skills
- CT imaging techniques and protocols
- Radiography and fluoroscopy operation (mobile and stationary)
- Anatomy and medical terminology for accurate imaging and reporting
- Venipuncture and IV contrast administration
- Radiation safety and equipment QA
- Basic life support (BLS) and patient safety practices
- Electronic imaging systems and general computer proficiency
