Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans accurately and safely, following physician orders and imaging protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures with clear, compassionate communication and proper positioning
• Operate CT equipment and maintain image quality while adhering to radiation safety standards
• Administer contrast per facility policy (when qualified) and monitor patients for reactions
• Document procedures, maintain accurate records in PACS/RIS, and communicate findings to the care team
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any technical issues promptly
• Complete required competency assessments and participate in ongoing skills validation

Qualifications

• Certification/experience in CT (CT modality listed as core skill)
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in job requirements
• Current license/certification verification as required by facility
• Availability to work per diem night shifts
• Completion of required health screenings and vaccinations (see employer requirements)
• Willingness to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient operation of CT scanners and understanding of CT protocols
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS and digital image handling
• Strong patient care skills, including positioning and monitoring
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Ability to follow established protocols and collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff
• Good documentation and communication skills
