Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using a thorough nursing process and create individualized care plans
• Provide direct ICU patient care and monitor hemodynamic status closely
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s clinical condition
• Communicate effectively with physicians about diagnostic results and treatment responses
• Deliver patient and family education to support recovery and understanding
• Supervise and guide other nursing personnel to maintain high standards of care
• Document care and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists to ensure excellence

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification listed)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DCI/BVP required
• Demonstrated critical care or ICU experience and strong patient assessment skills
• Ability to pass Prime competency exams and skills checklists
• Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations (drug screen, TB, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 vaccine, fit test)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and ICU best practices
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of telemetry
• Comprehensive nursing assessment and implementation of the nursing process
• Direct patient care skills and bedside patient management
• Patient and family teaching techniques
• Familiarity with competency testing and specialty exam preparation
