Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform EEG recordings accurately and compassionately, putting patient comfort first
• Prepare patients for EEG procedures and explain the process in clear, reassuring terms
• Operate and maintain EEG equipment following facility protocols and safety standards
• Document findings and patient information thoroughly and legibly in the medical record
• Collaborate with neuro/clinical teams to support diagnostic testing and patient care
• Adhere to infection control, immunization and screening requirements to keep patients and staff safe
• Complete required competency exams and checklists to maintain clinical readiness

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in EEG (core skill required)
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• License/Certificate Verification completed and on file
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, TB test, Hep B, influenza, Tdap, varicella, fit test and drug screen listed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of EEG procedures and patient preparation
• Comfortable with clinical documentation and following checklist-based workflows
• Ability to follow infection control and workplace health requirements
• Clear communication skills for interacting with patients and the care team
• Attention to detail for equipment setup, data quality and accurate records
