Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform EEG recordings accurately and compassionately, putting patient comfort first
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures and explain the process in clear, reassuring terms
- Operate and maintain EEG equipment following facility protocols and safety standards
- Document findings and patient information thoroughly and legibly in the medical record
- Collaborate with neuro/clinical teams to support diagnostic testing and patient care
- Adhere to infection control, immunization and screening requirements to keep patients and staff safe
- Complete required competency exams and checklists to maintain clinical readiness
Qualifications
- Demonstrated competency in EEG (core skill required)
- BLS certification required
- DCI/BVP certification required
- License/Certificate Verification completed and on file
- Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as required
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, TB test, Hep B, influenza, Tdap, varicella, fit test and drug screen listed)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of EEG procedures and patient preparation
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and following checklist-based workflows
- Ability to follow infection control and workplace health requirements
- Clear communication skills for interacting with patients and the care team
- Attention to detail for equipment setup, data quality and accurate records
