Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide timely basic life support interventions and high-quality patient care in pre-hospital and facility settings
- Perform rapid patient assessments, manage airways, control bleeding, and apply CPR when needed
- Safely transport and transfer patients while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams, handing off critical information clearly and professionally
- Maintain competency by completing Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
- Adhere to licensing, certification, and facility infection control and testing requirements
Qualifications
- Current EMT certification (state license/credential required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- DCI/BVP certification listed as required
- Completion of Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of onboarding
- Successful license/certificate verification
- Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations per facility policy (see checklist)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundational EMT clinical skills and comfort delivering basic life support under pressure
- Clear verbal and written communication for effective handoffs and documentation
- Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Good situational awareness, safety-first mindset, and patient-centered approach
- Willingness to complete and maintain required competency exams and skills checklists
