Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely basic life support interventions and high-quality patient care in pre-hospital and facility settings
• Perform rapid patient assessments, manage airways, control bleeding, and apply CPR when needed
• Safely transport and transfer patients while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation
• Collaborate with clinical teams, handing off critical information clearly and professionally
• Maintain competency by completing Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Adhere to licensing, certification, and facility infection control and testing requirements

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification (state license/credential required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of onboarding
• Successful license/certificate verification
• Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations per facility policy (see checklist)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundational EMT clinical skills and comfort delivering basic life support under pressure
• Clear verbal and written communication for effective handoffs and documentation
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Good situational awareness, safety-first mindset, and patient-centered approach
• Willingness to complete and maintain required competency exams and skills checklists
