Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab with focus and compassion
• Monitor and record physiologic and hemodynamic data continuously during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Communicate patient condition and procedure needs clearly and promptly with physicians and the care team
• Assess procedure rooms and equipment for readiness and troubleshoot basic issues to keep cases moving
• Obtain and manage supplies for individual cases, maintaining inventory and ensuring case readiness
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Support maintenance of equipment and ensure proper function before and after procedures

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS required upon start and must be maintained
• DCI/BVP certification listed as a required certification
• One year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or one year in a Critical Care area required
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Interventional Radiology (IR) or Electrophysiology (EP) lab experience is a strong plus

Education

• BSN preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and required state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization and cardiovascular lab workflows
• Ability to manage supplies and maintain equipment readiness and inventory
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
• Comfort working in a surgical/perioperative environment and responding to changing patient needs
• Participation in quality improvement and safety-focused activities
