Roles & Responsibilities

• Support cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiac procedures with precision and calm
• Prepare and maintain catheter lab equipment and supplies to ensure smooth procedures
• Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to deliver safe, high-quality cardiac care
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control policies
• Complete required Prime competency and specialty skills checklists and exams
• Verify and maintain licensure and certification documentation promptly

Qualifications

• RCIS certification required (Cardiovascular Technologist - RCIS)
• Current BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Ability to complete License/Certificate Verification prior to assignment
• Willingness to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Must meet required personal health screenings including COVID-19 vaccine, TB testing, drug screen, and other immunizations as listed

Education

• Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technologist program or equivalent clinical training preferred
• Additional specialty training or certifications in cardiovascular invasive procedures encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of invasive cardiology procedures and catheterization lab workflow
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic measurements
• Skilled with sterile technique and procedure prep
• Accurate clinical documentation and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently during per diem night shifts and collaboratively with the team
• Comfortable with equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Good communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary team members
