Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to adult surgical patients in the OR
• Assist and support robotic-assisted procedures using DaVinci Xi when indicated
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper instrumentation setup and turnover
• Monitor patient status throughout intraoperative care and communicate changes promptly
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, techs, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to on-call and callback situations professionally and promptly
• Complete required competency exams, skills checklists, and documentation accurately
• Support a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license (Nursys verifiable)
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Previous acute care hospital experience required
• Experience with DaVinci Xi robotic system preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required/preferred
• Ability to pass required health screenings and drug testing and provide immunization documentation
• Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room nursing principles and perioperative patient care
• Robotic-assisted surgery workflows, particularly DaVinci Xi
• Sterile processing, instrumentation, and OR turnover
• Acute care patient assessment and intraoperative monitoring
• Basic and advanced life support (BLS/ACLS)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness in high-acuity settings
• Comfort with competency assessments and continuing education requirements
