Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with accuracy and care
• Operate mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment safely and efficiently
• Prepare patients and start IVs for contrast injections when required, ensuring patient comfort
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and maintain required licensure and fluoroscopy permit
• Document exams, maintain imaging records, and communicate findings to the care team
• Maintain infection control, radiation safety, and equipment quality assurance
• Participate in required competency exams, skills checklists, and specialty assessments
• Provide compassionate patient education and clear communication during procedures

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the State of Texas
• ARRT (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certification required
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
• Venipuncture certificate and proficiency in IV insertion for contrast injections
• At least 1 year of acute clinical radiology or Radiology Technologist experience preferred
• Familiarity with State and Federal radiology regulations
• Ability to pass required screenings: drug screen, TB/PPD, immunizations, fit test, and background checks

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and fluoroscopy techniques
• Computed Tomography (CT) knowledge
• Extensive anatomy and medical terminology understanding
• Experience with mobile and stationary radiographic equipment
• Proficient computer skills for imaging documentation and systems
• Venipuncture and IV insertion skills
• Awareness of radiation safety and quality assurance procedures
