Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures with precision and calm under pressure
• Prepare and maintain sterile procedural fields and ensure all equipment is checked and ready
• Set up and operate imaging equipment and monitor fluoroscopy and hemodynamic parameters during cases
• Provide compassionate patient care pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, including patient positioning and monitoring
• Accurately document procedures, supplies used, and patient status in the medical record
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and support staff to optimize patient flow and outcomes
• Participate in competency testing and ongoing training to maintain high clinical standards

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (listed in posting)
• License or certification verification completed prior to start
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of onboarding
• Current immunizations and health screenings per employer policy (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB, Tdap, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella)
• Successful completion of a drug screen (minimum 10-panel) and fit test
• Prior experience in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology environment preferred

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field preferred
• Completion of an accredited cath lab or interventional radiology technologist program is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with cath lab and interventional radiology procedures and instrumentation
• Knowledge of sterile technique, radiation safety, and fluoroscopy operation
• Ability to monitor hemodynamics and recognize changes in patient condition
• Proficiency with procedural documentation and supply management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability in fast-paced procedural settings and attention to detail
