Shift Type: Night shifts, Per Diem (weekends required). Exact hours vary by facility; typical ED night example 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients quickly and accurately using the nursing process to prioritize care
- Provide direct emergency and telemetry nursing care, monitoring vital signs and rhythms
- Triage and stabilize patients while coordinating care with physicians and the ED team
- Implement and evaluate individualized care plans and interventions
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Ensure EMTALA compliance and timely reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies
- Document patient care clearly and maintain confidentiality and professional standards
- Respond rapidly to clinical changes and emergency situations with sound judgment
Qualifications
- Current, valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- NRP and DCI/BVP certifications listed in job requirements
- EDAP 1 and EDAP 2 required; BVP (MAB) training required
- NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
- Comfortable working nights and able to work weekends as required
- Ability to pass required health screenings, drug test, fit test, and immunization checks
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and emergency nursing skills
- Proficient with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Skilled in the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and abuse reporting procedures
- Competent in bedside patient/family education and care coordination
- Familiarity with pharmacology, ED workflows, and urgent clinical decision-making
