Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Provide direct critical care to ICU patients and manage complex clinical needs
• Perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Coordinate and guide patient and family education to support recovery and safety
• Document care accurately in the EMR and complete required competency and specialty testing
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to adjust plans of care quickly
• Mentor and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care
• Maintain patient privacy, infection control, and regulatory compliance at all times

Qualifications

• Current, valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS and DCI/BVP also required per posting
• Minimum of 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital with critical care experience
• CCRN critical care certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must be available weekends and able to meet site onboarding requirements (immunizations, drug screen, fit test, etc.)
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills including ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
• Excellent patient assessment, care planning, and direct patient care abilities
• Comfortable using Epic EMR for charting and clinical communication
• Rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge validated by required exams
• Skilled communicator who can coordinate care with physicians and families
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
