Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate direct patient care on a telemetry unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Communicate changes and critical findings to physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Perform patient and family teaching to support recovery and self-care after discharge
• Direct and guide other nursing personnel to maintain high standards of care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Participate in required competency exams and specialty skill checklists to ensure top-quality care

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Ability to work nights and be available on weekends
• Successful completion of required screenings and credentialing (drug screen, immunizations, fit test, Nursys verification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry nursing and cardiac monitoring proficiency
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience with patient/family education and discharge teaching
• Comfort with ventilator basics and respiratory support (preferred)
• Rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge
• Clear communication, teamwork, and time management in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with competency exams and specialty skills checklists
