Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room for vascular and endovascular procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs to ensure safe, efficient cases
• Respond rapidly and effectively to trauma cases in a Level I trauma environment
• Maintain strict sterile technique and instrument management for complex vascular cases
• Serve on the call rotation and support urgent/emergent procedures during nights, weekends, and holidays
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain high ratings across skills checklist items
• Support orientation and mentoring of team members when needed to uphold clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Georgia or via compact licensure)
• Prior travel nursing experience required — please note travel roles in your work history
• Proven experience in Operating Room nursing with strong vascular/endovascular case experience
• Experience working in a large Level I trauma facility — demonstrated ability to thrive in high-acuity settings
• High ratings on clinical skills checklists and strong references
• BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work nights, be on call, and cover holidays and weekends as part of the team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing processes
• Familiarity with vascular/endovascular instruments, imaging coordination, and OR workflows
• Strong trauma assessment and rapid decision-making skills in high-acuity situations
• Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary surgical teams
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail for patient safety and compliance
