Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on the 12B medical-surgical unit, prioritizing patient safety and dignity
• Use Epic for accurate, timely documentation and coordination of care
• Implement and maintain infection control and isolation precautions for diagnoses such as COVID and Monkeypox
• Perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and carry out individualized care plans
• Prepare and maintain required documentation: skills checklist, certification cards, references and Nursys license verification
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, providing education and support throughout the care continuum
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to continuously improve care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys license verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (M/S RN, 12B Medical)
• Epic experience is required — please note Epic in your profile
• Complete candidate profile including work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Provide skills checklist, references, certification card and badge-appropriate photo as part of your profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Medical-Surgical nursing best practices and patient assessment
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
• Infection control and isolation precautions (including COVID and Monkeypox)
• Strong clinical documentation and time management
• Team communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
