Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy services as a COTA to help individuals regain independence
• Implement and adapt treatment plans under the direction of the OTR to meet functional goals
• Deliver skilled interventions focused on activities of daily living, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Document accurately and timely to track progress and support continuity of care
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote lasting functional improvements and safe home routines
• Participate in meetings and care planning to advocate for patient needs and measurable outcomes

Qualifications

• Current COTA credential (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
• State licensure or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfort working with adults across a range of functional abilities and diagnoses
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, professional, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL assessment and intervention to promote independence
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and home modifications
• Experience with documentation systems and compliance best practices
• Ability to follow and implement OTR-developed treatment plans
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and organizational skills
• Positive patient education skills to engage patients and families
