Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose patients' communication and swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document progress, discharge planning, and communication with families and caregivers
- Provide training and education to staff and family members to support carryover of therapy
- Adjust therapy approaches based on patient response and clinical best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field preferred
- State SLP license (required) and ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or in progress
- Current CPR certification as required by facility
- Minimum clinical experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; AuD/PhD candidates may be considered where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Strong clinical reasoning and goal-writing abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and family-education skills
- Comfortable with documentation and electronic medical records
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
