Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming) with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition accurately and promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversation and activities
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and handoffs
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and facility policies at all times
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists and facility staff to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — you’re the certified caregiver we need
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and performing basic resident care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for working with older adults and commitment to compassionate care
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient/resident care practices and safety procedures
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control principles and PPE use
• Good charting and basic computer/tablet documentation skills
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient-centered approach
