Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions and assist patients with mobility and functional goals
- Implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the physical therapist
- Assist with gait training, transfers, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote recovery
- Float between Powerback and Langdon Place of Keene as needed, maintaining consistent care standards
- Monitor patients for safety and report clinical changes to supervising therapist promptly
Qualifications
- Licensed or license-eligible Physical Therapist Assistant in New Hampshire
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Comfortable floating between facilities and adapting to different patient populations
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on, compassionate approach to patient care
- Available for a 13-week contract beginning January 19, 2026
Education
- Associate degree or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and gait training
- Familiarity with common rehab modalities and assistive devices
- Proficient with documentation and electronic medical records
- Ability to assess patient safety and implement appropriate precautions
- Good time management, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills
