Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days vary; schedule to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Support mobility and transfers, using safe body mechanics and assistive devices
- Observe and report changes in residents physical or emotional condition to licensed staff promptly
- Provide compassionate companionship and promote resident engagement in social activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection prevention and control practices to keep residents and staff safe
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) valid in Maryland
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification required or must be obtainable prior to start
- Previous experience in long-term care or senior services is a plus
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for night shift assignments
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
- Observational skills to note subtle changes in resident condition
- Basic documentation and charting abilities
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed staff
