Shift Type: Days to be confirmed by facility; 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
- Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Follow individualized care plans and accurately document care and observations
- Communicate compassionately with residents and families to build trust and comfort
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support resident outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — Maryland certification or eligibility
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Proof of required immunizations and negative TB test per facility policy
- Background check and drug screen clearance as required by the facility
- Previous experience in geriatric care or long-term care is a strong plus
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved GNA training program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Ability to assist with ADLs and recognize changes in resident condition
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, documentation, safe transfers
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety procedures
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a care team
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
