Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and communicate changes promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate treatment
• Perform efficient handoffs and maintain clear, timely charting in the EMR
• Provide patient and family education with clarity and empathy
• Respond to clinical emergencies with composure and clinical skill
• Support a positive unit culture and mentor peers when opportunities arise

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license valid in New Mexico
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; other advanced certifications a plus
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nursing assessment and intervention techniques
• Medication administration and IV/infusion experience
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
• Ability to prioritize and manage a varied patient assignment overnight
• Teamwork, adaptability, and patient-focused bedside manner
