Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mealtime support
• Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence and dignity
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver personalized, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification or equivalent required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a compassionate care team
• Physical ability to safely assist with transfers and resident mobility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or state-recognized nursing assistant credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care skills and knowledge of activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Competence in basic charting and documentation practices
• Ability to recognize and report changes in a resident's condition
• Good interpersonal skills and a patient, respectful approach when interacting with residents and families
