Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia services for infants, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients
- Coordinate peri-operative patient care in collaboration with surgeons, nurses and the care team
- Assess patients pre-operatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Deliver anesthesia intra-operatively and manage post-operative recovery and pain control
- Document care accurately in EPIC and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives and adherence to OSHA and infection-control protocols
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to a supportive learning environment for new grads and students
Qualifications
- Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) by start date
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license or ability to obtain state licensure
- OSHA training and comfort working with blood or blood-borne pathogens
- Experience or comfort working in a Trauma Level II, inpatient surgical environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands (standing/walking >4 hours/day; handling up to ~25 lbs)
- Willingness to complete employee health screening and meet COVID vaccination requirements (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Not accepting 1099 or Locum candidates; open to H1B and J1 visa candidates
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (required)
- Final-year CRNA students may be considered pending full licensure and credentialing
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in anesthesia services and peri-operative patient care
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record
- Knowledge of care for adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
- Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Familiarity with trauma protocols and inpatient surgical workflows
- Commitment to safety, infection control and regulatory compliance
