Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents
- Manage psychotropic medication plans and follow-up medication management
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Offer or coordinate psychotherapy and other behavioral health interventions as appropriate
- Participate in delivering forensic-related services when indicated
- Engage in meaningful patient- and family-centered care, leveraging strong supportive services
- Contribute to a culture of safety, documentation excellence, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Board certified or Board eligible in the US (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred)
- Board eligible new graduates are welcome if planning to test following graduation
- Must be a physician (MD or DO) with appropriate clinical training in child/adolescent psychiatry
- Experience in outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry and medication management
- Cannot accept providers with malpractice cases in Probate or that require supervision; clean malpractice preferred
- Not accepting locum tenens or visa-sponsored candidates
Education
- MD or DO (physician) with completion of residency and fellowship training appropriate for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- US board certification or eligibility in psychiatry/child & adolescent psychiatry
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in child and adolescent mental health and developmental considerations
- Strong medication management skills for pediatric and adolescent populations
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (psychologists, social workers, therapists)
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows and forensic service interfaces
- Skilled communicator with patients, families, and care teams
- Comfort working in an in-person clinical environment (telemedicine not available)
