Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (day shifts); Weekday call 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM (night call); Weekend call: 24-hour call (Saturday 7:00 AM - Sunday 7:00 AM). Rotating call: 1 weekday on-call shift per week and 1 weekend on-call per month.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, independent anesthesia care across a variety of cases including regional, obstetric, orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, dental and urology
• Perform regional nerve blocks and manage obstetric anesthesia with confidence and current best practices
• Lead perioperative care and coordinate with OR staff to ensure smooth case flow for all ages
• Document anesthesia care accurately and efficiently in Plexus EMR
• Participate in the on-call rotation to provide timely patient care during off-hours and weekends
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and physicians to optimize patient outcomes in a Level 3 trauma setting

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Demonstrated regional anesthesia and obstetric (OB) anesthesia experience
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Comfortable working independently without direct supervision
• Experience with documentation in Plexus EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Willingness to participate in scheduled call rotation (weekday evenings/nights and periodic weekend 24-hour call)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in regional blocks and anesthesia/perioperative management
• Strong obstetric anesthesia skills and fetal/maternal safety awareness
• Proven ability to manage cases across all ages (pediatric to geriatric)
• Familiarity with trauma Level 3 workflows and acute care decision-making
• Efficient, clear documentation practices in EMR systems (Plexus preferred)
• Team communication, situational awareness and crisis management skills
