Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a busy ED environment
- Deliver high-caliber patient-centered care that improves outcomes and experience
- Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and paramedics to coordinate seamless care
- Manage trauma and high-acuity cases following established ED protocols
- Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently using MediTech EMR
- Operate and monitor GE patient monitors and other ED equipment
- Support safe patient admissions and transitions to hospital holding when needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license (graduation from an accredited nursing program required)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (ED experience strongly preferred)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (required)
- Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekend schedules
- Experience with MediTech EMR and GE monitors is a plus
- High-caliber patient experience skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and active RN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency department nursing and triage best practices
- Rapid patient assessment and prioritization
- Trauma care fundamentals and zone-based patient ratios (1:4 in zone)
- Proficiency with MediTech documentation and GE monitoring systems
- Strong communication, adaptability, and high-energy work style
