Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams using GE MRI systems to support accurate diagnoses
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while following established protocols
- Screen and prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and comfort throughout
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in Meditech
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to prioritize urgent studies and patient needs
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any issues to ensure minimal downtime
- Deliver an excellent patient experience by communicating clearly and compassionately
Qualifications
- ARRT certification and MRI certification required
- Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) licensure or ability to obtain FL DOH credentials
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience (must have hands-on MRI experience)
- Comfortable operating GE MRI equipment and documenting in Meditech
- Ability to work the required schedule: Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Education
- Completion of an accredited MRI program or radiologic technology program (or equivalent clinical training)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI physics, safety screening, and contrast protocols
- Proficiency with GE MRI systems and image acquisition techniques
- Experience using Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- Excellent patient positioning and immobilization skills to optimize image quality
- Clear communication, teamwork, and ability to prioritize in a busy radiology unit
- Attention to infection control and unit-specific policies
