Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med-Surg nursing care with compassion and clinical excellence
• Set up and manage ventilators and perform respiratory therapies as indicated
• Assist with intubations and perform arterial blood gases (ABG) accurately and efficiently
• Document care and clinical changes thoroughly in the Meditech EMR
• Educate patients and families about treatments, discharge planning and follow-up care
• Collaborate with RTs, physicians and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Prioritize patient safety, monitor trends, and escalate concerns in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential; travel RN experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience as indicated
• ACLS and BLS required
• NRP and PALS are preferred (nice-to-have)
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management, ABG collection, and intubation assistance
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR a plus
• Team-player attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg nursing best practices and patient assessment
• Ventilator setup, troubleshooting and respiratory therapy knowledge
• Arterial blood gas collection and interpretation
• Assisting with intubation and airway management
• Clinical documentation in Meditech EMR
• ACLS/BLS protocols and emergency response
• Patient and family education, and multidisciplinary teamwork
