Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies using established protocols to support accurate diagnoses
• Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently while following radiation safety best practices
• Provide compassionate patient care, preparing and positioning patients for scans and explaining procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to ensure timely imaging and reporting
• Document procedures accurately in EPIC and maintain clear, professional charting
• Participate in call and holiday coverage rotations to support continuous patient care
• Troubleshoot routine technical issues and escalate equipment concerns to biomedical or vendor support

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required (registered technologist in radiography/CT)
• BLS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred and used on this unit
• Siemens CT experience preferred
• Ability to work Tuesday-Friday nights and participate in call and holiday rotations
• Must meet facility radius/employment restriction: candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year and must comply with the 50-mile radius rule

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist or CT program (ARRT-eligible/ARRT-certified preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and contrast administration
• Comfort using EPIC for charting and imaging documentation
• Skilled in patient positioning, immobilization, and safe use of CT scanners
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to prioritize workload in an acute, trauma-capable setting
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and regulatory compliance
