Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to keep residents comfortable and dignified
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and family members
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, resident-centered care culture
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific) — required
- Comfortable and available to work the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to follow facility policies and work collaboratively with the care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
- Infection control and basic safety protocols
- Attention to detail with documentation and care plans
