Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to keep residents comfortable and dignified
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and family members
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, resident-centered care culture

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific) — required
• Comfortable and available to work the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to follow facility policies and work collaboratively with the care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Infection control and basic safety protocols
• Attention to detail with documentation and care plans
