Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures during night hours
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, residents, and families to coordinate care
• Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience working with geriatric or long-term care residents is a strong plus
• Basic life support or CPR certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently during night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills with a focus on dignity and resident-centered care
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
• Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Good documentation and basic charting skills
• Infection control practices and adherence to facility policies
• Clear communication and teamwork during shift handoffs
