Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med-Tele and swingbed patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Perform IV starts and manage lines safely and confidently
• Insert and manage NG tubes and Foley catheters as needed
• Set up and competently manage respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC and ventilator troubleshooting support
• Collaborate with CNAs, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Respond as a member of the code team when called and participate in unit emergency response
• Accurately document care in MEDITECH and maintain clear communication with providers and families
• Float to and practice across Med/Tele Acute, Observation, and Swingbed units as required

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (able to practice in North Dakota)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN clinical experience (Medical/Telemetry experience preferred)
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with IV starts, NG tube insertion and Foley insertion
• Ability to set up and manage respiratory support devices (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, ventilators)
• Comfort using MEDITECH charting system
• Dependable, flexible, and a team player who can work every other weekend/holiday

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or BSN)
• BSN not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV starts, peripheral line management
• NG tube and Foley catheter insertion and care
• Competence with BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC and basic ventilator familiarity
• Experience with Mindray telemetry monitors
• Strong documentation skills in MEDITECH
• Effective communication and teamwork under fast-paced acute care conditions
• Basic familiarity with swingbed/rehab patient needs and nursing care plans
