Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Manage mechanical ventilation using Drager and Philips V60 ventilators with safety and precision
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide ventilator and oxygen therapy adjustments
• Deliver high-flow oxygen therapy (Vapotherm) and bronchodilator treatments
• Provide tracheostomy care, airway clearance techniques, and intubation assist when needed
• Respond quickly and competently to code blue events and emergency airway situations
• Safely transport ventilated and high-acuity patients within the facility
• Document clinical care accurately in Meditech and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Coach and educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• One year of ICU experience preferred
• Current, unrestricted respiratory therapist license for practice in Tennessee
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and proficiency with Meditech documentation
