Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and titrate ventilator settings to support critically ill patients
• Perform and interpret ABG sampling from arterial lines and sticks
• Deliver nebulizer treatments and other respiratory therapies safely and effectively
• Assist in intubations, code responses, and rapid response interventions
• Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate as a team player to coordinate patient care across shifts
• Document care and interventions accurately in the unit EMR

Qualifications

• RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – specialty listed as RRT
• Minimum 1 year experience (listing indicates 1 year required)
• Demonstrated ventilator management and critical care skills (must-have)
• Strong patient assessment skills (must-have)
• Experience with ABGs, nebulizer treatments, and assisting with intubation/CODEs
• Meditech experience and additional ventilator experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management (Servo and 840 systems mentioned)
• Critical care respiratory therapy and assessment skills
• ABG collection and interpretation
• Nebulizer treatment administration
• Assisting on intubation and emergency code responses
• Team-oriented communication and collaboration
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
