Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care for oncology and step-down patients
• Administer chemotherapy safely and accurately (chemo-certified nurses preferred)
• Perform thorough nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and respond to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Deliver compassionate care for patients with sickle cell disease and complex diagnoses
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete skills checklists, and ensure charting compliance
• Verify licensure and certifications through Nursys and keep credentialing up to date
• Serve as a patient advocate, educating patients and families about treatments and care plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in the specialty (Medical-Surgical/Oncology/Step-down)
• Chemotherapy certification preferred (chemo-certified nurses are strongly encouraged to apply)
• Clean work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Provide skills checklist, current certification card, and professional references
• Upload demographic profile information and a badge-appropriate picture as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Medical-surgical nursing principles and step-down patient management
• Oncology care knowledge and safe chemotherapy administration practices
• IV therapy and medication administration accuracy
• Assessment, triage, and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Patient education, symptom management, and discharge planning
• Familiarity with Nursys license verification and credentialing requirements
