Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment with precision and care during OR, ED, inpatient, and portable exams
• Perform high-quality general radiography and portable X-rays while maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Evaluate images for technical quality and make immediate adjustments to ensure diagnostic value
• Collaborate closely with surgical, trauma, and emergency teams during procedures and transport imaging needs
• Float between departments as assigned to support staffing needs and maintain smooth patient flow
• Supervise and work with students, performing competency check-offs and fostering the next generation of technologists
• Document imaging and patient information accurately in EPIC and image management systems like Sectra
• Maintain equipment knowledge (GE, Philips, CareStream) and follow radiation safety protocols

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT approved program
• Minimum 1 year Level 1 trauma experience or 2-3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Experience in the Operating Room and general radiography (X-ray) with comfort performing OR and portable imaging
• Willingness to learn pediatric and neonatal imaging
• Ability to float between departments and work collaboratively across teams
• Experience with EPIC and image systems (Sectra) is a plus

Education

• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT approved program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment operation
• Strong image quality evaluation and positioning skills
• Experience with portable radiography, OR imaging, ED imaging, and inpatient studies
• Familiarity with EPIC and Sectra workflows
• Hands-on experience with equipment brands such as GE, Philips, and CareStream
• Comfort working in high-acuity trauma environments and following trauma protocols
• Student supervision and competency assessment experience
