Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and provide advanced respiratory support for complex cardiac patients
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring using Swan Ganz catheters and interpret data to guide care
• Manage arterial and central lines with precision to ensure patient safety
• Provide post-operative care for CABG recovery and patients with mechanical circulatory support
• Operate and care for CRRT and Impella devices as clinically indicated
• Assess and manage chest tubes and other post-op devices to prevent complications
• Document care thoroughly in Meditech EMR and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
• Work collaboratively with physicians, perfusionists, and other clinicians to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or similar) — candidates without this experience may not be considered
• Demonstrated ventilator, arterial line, central line, and chest tube management skills
• Experience with CVICU care, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella is highly valued
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN are preferred credentials

Knowledge & Skills
