Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound exams including upper and lower extremity DVT studies
• Conduct carotid ultrasound examinations accurately and document findings clearly
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and maintain image quality to support clinical decisions
• Coordinate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure timely patient care
• Manage patient interactions with professionalism and compassion, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage and respond promptly when called in

Qualifications

• ARDMS credential required; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required
• Demonstrated vascular ultrasound experience, including upper and lower extremity DVT studies and carotid ultrasound
• Comfortable working across hospital and imaging center settings
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call coverage and variable scheduling
• Strong patient communication skills and attention to detail

Education

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program preferred
• ARDMS (RDMS) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with vascular ultrasound protocols and duplex imaging
• Skilled in DVT and carotid exam techniques and documentation
• Ability to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and optimize image quality
• Knowledge of sterile and patient safety procedures
• Good interpersonal skills for teamwork across multiple clinical sites
