Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Communicate proactively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Help create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for patients
• Respond quickly and calmly to patient needs and call lights

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active CNA license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
• Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain a patient-first attitude
• Comfortable with direct patient care, lifting assistance, and bedside support
• Pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements (as applicable)
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited/state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and hands-on experience with ADLs
• Reliable documentation and basic charting skills
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
