Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide sitter support as primary role and perform CNA duties as needed to ensure patient safety
• Take and document accurate vital signs and routine observations
• Assist patients with feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent complications
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain excellent patient communication and comfort
• Chart thoroughly in EPIC and complete required modules during orientation and on shift
• Float to different floors or regional hospitals when required, adapting to varied patient populations
• Work collaboratively with charge nurses, resource nurses, and house supervisors to support unit needs

Qualifications

• Washington state CNA / nursing assistant license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience (job notes also reference 2 years in job details)
• Flexibility to float and work across units, with a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work night shifts and every-other-weekend rotation

Education

• CNA certification / state nursing assistant credential
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience working in acute care and telemetry environments
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Strong patient care fundamentals: vital signs, feeding assistance, ambulation, turning/positioning, hourly rounding
• Sitter utilization best practices and patient observation skills
• Ability to follow unit-specific protocols and communicate effectively with nursing staff
