Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe food service areas following hospital protocols
• Sanitize equipment, prep areas, and dining spaces to meet food safety standards
• Follow established cleaning schedules and document completed tasks accurately
• Assist with safe handling, storage, and rotation of food supplies to minimize waste
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and clinical staff to support timely service
• Report any safety or sanitation issues promptly to ensure patient and staff safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food Handler or Food Safety certification preferred — willing to obtain is okay
• Experience in food service, sanitation, or a hospital/non-clinical setting is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and repetitive motions
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable following strict hygiene protocols

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional food safety certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Food Service Sanitation principles and best practices
• Familiarity with Meditech or willingness to learn electronic documentation
• Infection control awareness and strict adherence to cleaning protocols
• Basic inventory handling and supply restocking
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer/navigation skills for logging tasks and records
