Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Safely assist with patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification (state-required credentials)
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Background check and drug screening clearance as required
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
• Previous patient care experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Skillful in taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Comfortable with basic charting and electronic documentation
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs under shift demands
