Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage emergency patients quickly and effectively to prioritize lifesaving care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias to guide urgent interventions
• Provide ventilator management and continuous IV sedation/paralytics for critically ill patients
• Administer and manage emergency medications including IV vasopressors
• Perform procedural sedation and monitor patients throughout procedures
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and respond to STEMI/stroke activations as needed
• Manage trauma patients in a Level I trauma center environment with strong teamwork
• Document accurately in EPIC and use Pyxis for medication administration

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (per posting)
• Comfortable with triage, ventilator care, dysrhythmia interpretation, and pediatric emergency care
• Experience with EPIC charting and Pyxis medication systems preferred
• Ability to work nights and rotating weekends; float experience is a plus
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome — orientation provided

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency department workflows
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management
• 12-lead EKG acquisition and interpretation
• IV therapy: starting/maintaining IVs, blood product administration, central/arterial line care
• Ventilator management and care of mechanically ventilated patients
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Trauma care in a Level I trauma center and STEMI/stroke protocols
• EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication system proficiency
