Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers and safe positioning
• Document care in the patient record with clarity and attention to detail
• Communicate changes in condition to the nursing team to support timely interventions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (must be valid in New Mexico)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and providing direct patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic patient hygiene
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical record documentation or willingness to learn
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and respond to changes in patient condition

This is a local contract position in Albuquerque.
